Rock and stone are foundational biblical words. Furthermore, its understood that rock is that which all things are constructed of, bound by and built upon for homes, roads, walls, tables, alters, containers, weights & measures, markers and ultimately graves.

 

Today, evolutionists and environmentalists teach that man comes from monkeys or a primordial soup. In opposition to this academic belief organized religion preach man came from dust, but both groups constantly fail to understand the nature of these claims.

 

Regardless of what one believes, it should be an acceptable truth that what makes-up rock, stone, dirt and dust is an infinite variety of molecular metal compounds. Why people accept academia’s position that there are non-metals or organic elements is mystifying. Although it may be convenient to divide the metal kingdom into two branches called science this type of thinking resembles programming, which permits an unquestioning institutional faith where the blind lead the blind.

 

My point in discussing these seeds of life is to show that they are more than what meets the eye. There are approximately 31,000 biblical verses, in which rock and stone only occurs about 490 times. However, if the biblically used words (bdellium, onyx, sapphire, sardius, topaz, carbuncle, chalcedony, marble, beryl, diamond, jasper, emerald, glistering, grind, cunning, divers colours, crown, precious, jewels, earrings, fair colours, polish, pleasant, riches, abundance, treasure, hide or hidden, prosper, King, sacrifice, work, mortar, plaister, hew, mason, brick, cut, thrashing, milling, pots, vessels, arrows, knife, sharp, build, heavy or weight, water well, foundation, dungeon, den, cave, grave, tomb, sepulcher, stumble, creek/river, hills, land, roads, gravel, field, mountain, pit, dust, earth, land, fire, furnace, shield, money and all the metals are factored into the matrix of comprehension it becomes recognizable that rock and stone comprise over 90+% of biblical life. In addition to the foregoing reality there is another fundamental actuality not specifically mentioned, although empathically implied, that prospecting, exploration, extraction, concentration, assaying, mining and metallurgical processes are also part of the human equation pertaining to all biblical activity.

 

Should anyone take exception to what I have tried to explain or care to share their ideas and opinions I’d be pleased to further discuss this topic of rock, stone, dust and metals.

 

Below are a few biblical verses that appear on the surface to offer additional insights as to how rock and stone are portrayed scripturally.

 

Deuteronomy 23:1   He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

Leviticus 21:20   Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

Job 40:17   He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

 

    Is it not interesting that the word stones are used to describe testicles? Is it possible

    that this is an accurate description for seed holder? If so, then a man’s testicles are

    forms of stone because all the metals, less those of woman are contained within these

    vessels necessary for physical life.

Exodus 17:6   Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Numbers 20:8   Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

Deuteronomy 8:15   Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

Deuteronomy 32:13   He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

 

    Its well known that a hole can be dug or drilled in solid rock and water will weep or

    gush into the cavity. Most people believe that the source of this water migrates from

    underground aquifers, too which I heartily agree, but with the caveat that rock is

    composed of the ingredients that make water. How else could the world have been

    flooded if rock could not make water? For instance, any typical country rock harbors

    moisture around 6%, but the remainder of the rock also contains alkaline or acidic

    forms of hydrogen, as well as metal oxides. So, it is not too large a leap of faith that

    water (H2O) from rock can be formed quickly under the correct circumstances,

    especially if heat (volcanism) is applied to the rock.Have you ever wondered why

    rocks thrown into a fire explode? It is the direct result of steam pressure due to the

    oxides becoming metals and liberating oxygen and merging with hydrogen to form

    water explosive vapor.

 

    For many people it is apparently too difficult to think or believe the accuracy of these

    scripture words, for how can water, honey and oil come from rock, especially the very

    dense and glassy variety called flint? For me, it is not all that difficult to believe or

    have faith (Matthew 17:20) in these statements. Is it not accurate to say that honey,

    water and oil are elemental compounds? And, are not elements chemicals and are not

    chemicals organic and inorganic and where does all these so-called organics originate

    if not from inorganic minerals, which are metals in various formats called rock and

    stone.  It is becoming increasingly valid that rock not only hosts the oil which modern

    man uses, but that rock aids in the chemical formation of oil when microscopic

    varmints work, eat and excreting within this same deeply buried hot rock.

 
Deuteronomy 32:4   He is the rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
  

    This verse suggests that the word “rock” might be metaphorical, but, in my humble

    opinion could also indicate YHVH’s perfection.

 
Deuteronomy 32:18   Of the rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

 

    YHVH is the rock substance from which all creation is made of. This verse also

    strongly hints that rock precedes dust.

 

Judges 6:21   Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes.

 

    Can fire be within rock? The logical answer is – are not all the ingredients necessary

    for fire contained within rock/stone?

   
1 Corinthians 10:4   And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual rock that followed them: and that rock was Christ.

    Yeshua is not only a spiritual rock, but the builder and cornerstone of the world’s  

    physical foundation.

Exodus 35:27   And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

Exodus 35:33   And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

 

    Obviously, the lapidary  arts were known and practiced. Cabochons (domed shaped

    polished stones) have been discovered, indicating knowledge of grinding and

    polishing. Plus, the word “set” clearly symbolizes that silver & goldsmiths were

    established crafts.

Leviticus 14:40   Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:

 

    Can a plague reside within stone? I see no reason why infectious critters that spawn

    plague cannot live within rock, because most of us know that microscopic critters are

    constantly munching away within sulphidic rock, which can be recognized by stinky

    water (rotten egg odor) and the rust stains from dissolving iron pyrites slowly being

    leached in many water wells. Plus, there’s ample biological evidence referencing

    infectious diseases emanating from disturbed earth in tropical rain forests that

    environmentalists claim occurs due to man’s mining, lumbering and agricultural

    activities. Likewise, I wonder if it is possible or probable that archaeologists are

    unleashing untold numbers of horrific germ spores as a result of their legalized grave

    robbing.

Leviticus 26:1   Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

 

    Modern man is constantly making idols (gargoyles) of one sort or another out of stone.

    Look around and begin to notice these abundant abominations.

Deuteronomy 8:9   A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

    Are these iron stones merely iron rich country rock similar to what makes all the red

    clay in the state of Georgia? Or, is this verse being specific that massive amounts of 

    iron ore is bountiful with which to mine, smelt and cast tools? What's more, this verse

    suggests copper and tin/zinc is plentiful and that the metallurgical process is well

    understood as to how to make brass.

Deuteronomy 10:1   At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

    The Ark of Covenant is gold plated and constructed in such a manner that Biblical

    scholars think is some sort of electrical apparatus (condenser). Mechanical gold plating

    indicates pounding lumps of gold into super thin sheets, which can be gently

    hammered onto intricate wood, stone or metal shapes. However, super thin sheets of

    gold is not possible or practical to make unless the gold is pretty pure. So, this also

    suggests purifying methodologies and possibly even electroplating. Compounding the

    aforesaid is it not amazing that this Ark’s wood may have been from the Acacia tree,

    which is considered to become rock hard and incorruptible? In addition, I find it

    fascinating that this golden coated Ark/Alter, which was placed in the Tabernacle

    and/or Temple was intimately associated with a delicate and presumably pure silver

    tray that contained the burning incense. Is it possible that gold represents YHVH and   

     silver represents our Savior (Yeshua)?

 

Judges 20:16   Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss.

1 Samuel 17:49   And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

1 Chronicles 12:2   They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.

    Although modern munitions are vastly superior, these ancient forms of warfare

    continues in use to this day. In fact these arrows had metal points, further   

    demonstrating the knowledge of prospecting, mining & metallurgy, which sprang from

    stone and rock.

1 Kings 7:9   All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court.

 

    Quarrying indicates ancient drilling capabilities that seems to suggest a lost art, which

    is further indicated by a drilling machine depicted upon Egyptian tomb walls, but no

    one can figure out how it works. And, sawing monolithic slabs suggests a form of

    blacksmithing was in vogue in order to mass produce all the sawing tools.

 

Job 38:6   Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

Isaiah 28:16   Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Psalms 118:22   The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Mark 12:10   And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
1 Peter 2:4   To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

    All buildings require a strong foundation and a corner stone is essential for a

    dimensionally correct structure if it is to stand the test of time. And is not Yeshua the

    master carpenter who not only made, laid-out and at same time is this corner stone that

    the world is founded upon? Although man’s ego has difficulty conceptionalizing life

    within rock (dust), but if this depiction is not allegorical then Yeshua is indeed a living

    stone.

 

Revelations 2:17   He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

    Could this white stone be an unknown type of silver liken unto or derived from

    Yeshua?
